Fanfic "Neko Origins": Chapter 1.

Chapter 1: "The new Reploid's awakening"

 Previously, there was a commotion due to a unusual message, in which was mentioned that many unknown Mavericks had attacked, and only their leader has been seen at the moment of the attacks. The yet unknown Professor Robert and one of his assistants watched the transmission and were astonished, but the Professor kept going with his work, hoping to stop those attacks...

-The scene begins with Professor Robert, working with his computer next to a big capsule with an inactive Reploid inside of it, two weeks since the last Maverick incident-

Prof. Robert: -Thinks, typing with his computer- Well, the development of the new Reploid has reached 100%, and the analysis of its systems it's almost done, its just a matter of time until i manage to make it work properly... -thinks while one of the Professor's assistants gets in the room-

Assistant: Professor, i've come to ask how's the analysis going. -Getting close to Professor Robert's desk-

Prof. Robert: -Resting for a while, turns his chair- Oh well, we have almost completed the new Reploid's analysis, i think that in just a matter of hours it will be done.

Assistant: Good job, Professor.

Prof. Robert: Well yeah, i've put all my efforts to make sure this Reploid will be safe for the world and everyone who always seeks for justice. Although i must recognize that i'm surprised, even with the technology we have at this time, to analyze deeply the systems of a Reploid and repair every posible error is very complex, but it seems to overcome all expectatives, it will take much more less time than usual to concrete the analysis.

Assistant: It seems fine to me, keep up with the good work. -says as he leaves the room-

Prof. Robert: Fine, see you. -says as he turns his chair again looking at his computer- Now its just a matter of time.

Many days later another incident occurs, the mysterious group attacked again but the Maverick Hunters managed to minimize the damage done and the Mavericks fled from the place, although the group's leader wasn't with them this time...

-A while after the attack, inside the lab where the new Reploid is being developed...-

Prof. Robert: -Standing, watching the capsule with calm, when suddenly an assistant bursts in the room, very upset-

Assistant: ¡Professor! -arrives next to him, running, and stops to breathe due to the agitation-

Prof. Robert: -Turning to look at him- ¿Hm?¿What's happening, why's the hurry?

Assistant: ¡Professor, another Maverick attack has happened!

Prof. Robert: Hmm, ¿But what's weird about it? -looking at him, a bit confused-

Assistant: ¡Well their leader is coming here!

Prof. Robert: ¿How you said? -asking worried- ¿What about him coming here?

Assistant: ¡As you heard, he has even sent a warning, look! -showing him a message in the monitor-

Prof. Robert: Let's see... -confused but curious watches the message closely-

-A darkened silhouette it's seen on screen-

????: Greetings to the developer team of the new Reploid, i want to warn you that i'll make you a visit soon, mi exploration squad has found your lab and i've decided to go and find out how strong that new Reploid you have is. Get ready for what's coming... ¡Hahahaha! -with that said the message ends-

Prof. Robert: So he's really coming... -looking at his assistant, worried-

Assistant: ¡Yes, we must do something soon! -looking at him, almost in panic-

Prof. Robert: Don' worry, i'll do what i can so nobody will get hurt, i need you to evacuate the area and take the others to the new lab.

Assistant: Yes but, ¿What are you going to do then? -looking at him, worried-

Prof. Robert: Well i'll give that Maverick a worthy opponent, you leave now in case he appears. -looking at his assistant, determined-

Assistant: Allright Professor, i know you'll do the best you can.

Prof. Robert: Now go look for the others immediately. -heading to his computer next to the capsule, he starts typing-

Assistant: Yes. -says as he leaves the room quickly-

Prof. Robert: Allright... -typing in more commands at the moment in which the capsule emits a confirmation sound- Fine... Now i'll proceed to activate the new Reploid and... -says as the capsule starts opening, little by little- Now...

-That said, he gets away from his computer and heads towards the already opened capsule, where the new Reploid opens its eyes-

Prof. Robert: -Looking at the new Reploid, smiling- Welcome, Neko...
